7 out of 15 network member organizations were involved in our initiative which consisted of organizing different adult education programs that aim the education of target groups in questions related to anxiety, fear, distress and mechanisms of coping with them effectively in person and on community levels. Pro Educatione through the fund given by the USCCB contributed partially to the realization of the following projects (there were subcontracts written for this purpose, and organizations reported about their activities with descriptive and photo reports):

·         The Diocesan Family Pastoral organized workshops within their regular Summer Camp dedicated to families where along the motto ‘happy are the peacemakers’ participants discussed about the ways we can get peace and we can help families to cope with unrest, and how the collaboration of families can help the prevention of different forms of anxiety.

·         Diocesan Youth Pastoral built into its ‘Relaxed’-Summer Camp the creative working up of some topics like mistaken, freedom, consciousness, experience, religion, life-path – in which participants could deepen their understandings and interpretation, could find handrails for everyday life activities.

·         The Caritas Social Care realized a spiritual retreat for addicts and their families at Odorheiu-Secuiesc, where 14 participants chose to experience that there is professional help available when someone is searching for it, and learned that there are ways out of addiction and codependency.

·         The Caritas School initiated a small project of education and supervision of professionals engaged in elderly care, persons who were all the employees of Caritas Alba Iulia elderly care service in Odorheiu-Secuiesc, and who benefited through this program of a burn-out prevention activity.

·         Association Áradat chose to organize series of workshops at Sumuleu-Ciuc related to the issue of existential anxiety within that participants found that reflection and thinking together can act as ‘medicine/balsam’ to several hard questions of existence.

·         Association Kalot is engaged in organizing workshops for youth in schools where the topic of ‘not only physical violence is violence’ is explained and discussed with the help of short video materials and interactive workshop sessions. Several dozen of teenagers participate in the workshops that are financed by this project.

- Association Háló found important to answer the question: is anxiety a warning sign or a kind of slavery? How do we perceive it? During their summer camp they helped participants to find their own answers, and ask for help (they provided the professionals to whom people could talk to on these camp days).
